Other Inspiration / Andere Inspiratie

One of the things I absolutely love are those still life paintings of big lavish bouquets. What about this extraordinary painting of Hendrik Reekers? The Dutchman lived during the first half of the 19th century. I just love his style <3

The Mexicans have beautiful and vibrant folkart which also uses flowers sometimes and the style is very recognizable <3

Or how about this stunning floral embroidery of Joanne (up_in_the_hill on IG)? Pretty no?

The Hexie

For the second hexie of this theme I have used the same image as was one my moadboard. It’s a still-life of a bouquet with amazing vibrant colors. It is also what inspired this theme. For the yarn I used 8 colors Scheepjes Stone Washed and River Washed from the Colour Pack*. The colorlist can be found below.

*The codes that start with an 8 are Stone Washed colors, the codes that start with a 9 are River Washed colors.

Which colors do you see when you think of bouquets? You can use my colors, or come up with your own colorway. You can find the pattern for both hexies here! Don’t forget to show me your hexies on social media, using #inspirationalhexies, because I’d love to see them!
