Ever since I saw this shawl on Softsweater’s Instagram I knew I had to make it one day! The short row lace sections just blew my mind, and it just looks so stunning!
I treated myself to some luscious silk/baby camel yarn from Countess Ablaze a while ago and this pattern was perfect for it. I took the yarn and pattern with me to Portugal, and knitted 3/4th of the shawl there. Even in warm weather I can’t stand to not make anything, haha.
I wish you could feel the yarn through the screen, it’s the softest I’ve ever felt!
My sister always models for me and we’re having a blast doing the photo shoots 🙂
I really liked the pattern, but I cheated a couple of times, because knitting endless rows of garter stitch isn’t really my thing. So I skipped a few rows here and there. It’s very big nonetheless. The lace short rows were very fun to knit and not hard at all! I did use stitch markers for every repeat though, to make sure that I didn’t lose track.
I can’t wait to wear it when Autumn starts 🙂
