About this collection
All the patterns in this collection are inspired by Nature. If you love Nature as much as I do, you will love this collection! To truly immerse yourself in its inspiration, all patterns are accompanied by a self-written poem.
Patterns in this collection
Sunset Cardigan Wrap
The Cardigan wrap is inspired by the setting sun and all the beautiful colors it can create, almost like the sky is a watercolor painting. I wanted to try to capture this image into a wrap by blending multiple colors. I’ve tried to work the colors in a ‘natural’ order in the wrap, just like you would get if the sun was setting.
Glowing Leaf Shawl
I am enamored by all the different processes that Nature shows us so elegantly. The growth, the shifting hues from fresh green to warm yellow to bright red. And at last, a caramel brown, just before falling to the ground, where they decompose. Giving their nutrients back to the soil and to the little creatures, fungi, lichen and mosses below. All in Nature is cyclical, it just goes on forever. There are a lot of things in life that are uncertain, but there’s one thing we can be sure about and that’s the cycle of Nature.
Essence of Summer Wrap
What is your Essence of Summer? What smells or sounds or feelings or moments makes you say: yes, now it’s Summer? I have an instant association of Summer when I smell sunscreen or petrichor (the smell of rain on dry earth when it hasn’t rained for a long time) or woodfire (usually barbeque). It’s so funny that we react so strongly to smells when it comes to associations and memories. The Essence of Summer wrap is made out of three parts: ‘A cooling breeze after a hot Summer day’, ‘Woodfire’ and ‘Petrichor’. I hope to take you with me on a Summer evening, when you’re outside, feeling the scorching hot pavement on your bare soles, the cooling breeze on your face, the smell of woodfire in the air, the pressure of humidity and finally the cooling Summer rain, where the sun reflects golden on thousands of drops.
Eucalyptus Wrap
This pattern was created to help combat the devastating bushfires in Australia that were raging from September 2019 to March 2020. From January to March 2020 €1.50 of each copy sold has been donated to WIRES, Australia’s biggest wildlife rescue organisation.
Little Maple Cardi
Don’t you just love Autumn? All the trees shifting in color from bright green to warm oranges, reds and yellows. The weather (finally) cooling. All the lovely colors of the fallen leaves decorating the moist earth <3 And lets not forget mosses growing rich and abundant and mushrooms popping up randomly when the conditions are just right. Yes. I love Autumn. This cardigan is for all Fall-lovers out there who like to bring a little Fall into the room everywhere they go.
Plum Trees and Bees shawl
Imagine: bees buzzing in the plum orchards. The trees are bathed in the sun. You hear the low drone of the bees humming overhead while walking under the plum trees. Their furry bodies full of yellow pollen, flying to and from the hive to deliver the sweet nectar of the plum blossom. A flicker of light shows their iridescent wings. You look up and the sun is filtered through the thick white blossoming clouds. A light breeze touches your skin. This is Spring in its essence.
Fresh Leaves Shawl
Do you recognize the shifting of the light between the seasons? When the trees create new leaves again, the light shifts from winterblue hues to soft green light. The shawl is inspired on this transformation from Winter to Spring.
Maple Leaf Cardigan
This pattern is part of the Poetry Collection. Each pattern in this collection is accompanied by a poem. This time I have chosen the haiku form to write my poem. Fully embracing the inspiration of the Japanese Maple tree.
Spotting Clouds Top
Imagine yourself lying in a field with your closest companion. The sun out and the sky a bright blue. Clouds dancing across the heavens like cotton balls, veils or little sheep. Take that feeling with you wherever you go with this cute Spotting Clouds top! In the top you will find three different cloud shapes: Cumulus clouds (those big heaped clouds), cirrus clouds (thin and whispy) and cirrocumulus clouds (small puffy clouds).
Picking Flowers Sweater
This particular sweater was inspired by the feeling of spring when it finally comes after a long winter. How the smells subtly change, a freshness in the air, time to pick flowers! Alone, or with someone you love. Rubbing the velvety petals between your fingers, making flower crowns, enjoying the first warm sunlight. If you don’t feel ready for spring now, I don’t know what will.
