Now that the CAL is over, I’d like to look back on it and show you the beautiful shawls others have made! If you don’t know what I am talking about, you can find all info about the CAL here.

Nu de CAL voorbij is, vind ik het leuk om even terug te kijken en ook de shawls te laten zien die anderen hebben gemaakt! Als je niet weet waar ik het over heb, je kunt alle info over de CAL hier vinden. 

I enjoyed this CAL immensely. It was very fun to join the two aspects of the CAL; reading and crocheting. It was surprising to see so many people reading along and discussing the book. To me it is very important to show the inspiration behind the design and the CAL was the most immersive form of that, because of the ‘Bookclub Sunday’, but also because of ‘Tree Inspiration Thursday’. The goal for me was to show trees in a different light and I hope I have succeeded : )

Ik heb erg genoten van deze CAL. Het was erg leuk om de twee aspecten van de CAL te verbinden; lezen en haken. Ik was verrast dat zoveel mensen meelazen en meededen met de boekdiscussies. Voor mij is het erg belangrijk om de inspiratie achter een ontwerp te laten zien en de CAL was de meest complete vorm daarvan, door ‘Boekenclub Zondag’, maar ook ‘Boom Inspiratie Donderdag’. Voor mij was het doel om mensen anders naar bomen te laten kijken en ik hoop dat ik daarin ben geslaagd : ) 

The best part was that people started to share their own environment, what trees they encountered, how their nearby forests looked. And that is the best part of a CAL. That the people truly participate and take it to a much higher level. It was a moment in time of togetherness and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Het mooiste aan de CAL vond ik dat mensen hun eigen omgeving hebben gedeeld. De bomen die ze zagen, hoe hun bossen eruit zien, etc. En dat is zo fijn aan een CAL. Het zijn de mensen zelf die er meer diepgang aan geven en het naar een hoger plan tillen <3  Het was een periode van saamhorigheid en ik heb van elk moment genoten!

The shawls <3

The colors people chose were often very exciting and I loved when people included pictures of what the colors were inspired on <3 It showed that tree-inspiration doesn’t have to be green. Here are some of the shawls that were made during the CAL. The name of the maker is put below each picture.

De kleuren die werden gekozen waren vaak erg verrassend en ik vond het helemaal geweldig als er foto’s van de inspiratie werden bijgevoegd <3 Het liet zien dat boom-inspiratie niet alleen maar groen hoeft te zijn. Hier zijn wat van de shawls die tijdens de CAL zijn gemaakt. De naam van de maker is onder elke foto gezet.
