In the yarn craft world, I think there are two types of yarn stashers:
1. Those who (mostly) buy yarn to add to that stash, to pet the different skeins regularly and just to look at their new found wealth, without a specific project in mind. The bigger the stash the better.
Or
2. Those who (mostly) buy yarn for a specific project and who feel joy whenever there’s an opportunity to use up stash yarn.
Ik denk dat er in de haak- en breiwereld twee types zijn:
1. Zij die (vooral) graag garen kopen om bij hun voorraad te voegen, af en toe de bolletjes aaien en die graag kijken naar hun nieuw verkregen rijkdommen, zonder er een specifiek project voor te hebben. Hoe groter de voorraad, hoe beter.
Of
2. Zij die (vooral) garen kopen voor een specifiek project en die het fijn vinden als er een kans is om hun huidige voorraad op te maken.

And of course there’s lots in between, but I mostly fall into the second category (with the exeption of super luxurious pretty yarn I just NEED to buy).
En natuurlijk zit er nog van alles tussen, maar ik val voor het grootste deel in de tweede categorie (met uitzondering van dat super luxe prachtige garen wat ik gewoon MOET hebben).

A big stash makes me nervous and uneasy. Whenever I can use up stash yarn, it makes me happy and it feels like I am cleansing my mind as well.
I feel the same joy and peace of mind whenever I finish a project. If I have too many projects at once, I begin to feel restless, so I try to limit my projects to two or three max.
Een grote garenvoorraad maakt me nerveus en onrustig. Als ik een deel van die voorraad op kan maken, maakt dat me echt blij en het voelt alsof ik tegelijkertijd ook mijn hoofd kan leegmaken. Ik voel dezelfde blijdschap en rust als ik een project afmaak. Als ik teveel projecten in één keer heb, voel ik me onrustig, dus ik probeer het altijd te beperken tot twee of drie tegelijk.

With the above in mind, I am planning a new project for all of you who’d like to use up all of those little scraps you couldn’t find a purpose for, but are too precious to just throw out.
And in particular I will use my left overs from my Inspirational Hexies Blanket, which uses the Scheepjes Catona Colour Pack* and the Scheepjes Stone Washed and River Washed Colour Pack*.
Met bovenstaande in het achterhoofd ben ik een nieuw project aan het plannen voor al die mensen die graag die mooie kleine garenrestjes willen opmaken, die te mooi zijn om weg te gooien, maar die er simpelweg nog geen bestemming voor hebben gevonden.
En in het bijzonder zal ik daarvoor de restjes van mijn Inspirational Hexies Blanket gebruiken, wat wordt gemaakt met Scheepjes Catona Colour Pack* en de Scheepjes Stone Washed en River Washed Colour Pack*.
