Bobbles. I see them a lot these last few months and these bobbles are certainly growing on me : ) A well done bobble sweater can look very stylish! I have found a few very nice examples that would be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe : ) I think the trick with these sweaters is that you use yarn that’s not too thick, because the bobbles will add lots of bulk. If you look at the stitches of most of these sweaters you can see it’s rather loose. This will compensate for the extra bobble bulk. Nifty huh?

Bobbels. De laatste maanden zie ik steeds meer bobbels en ik denk dat ik ze steeds leuker ga vinden. Een goed gemaakte bobbel trui kan er erg stijlvol uitzien! Ik heb een paar mooie exemplaren gevonden voor een fijne aanvulling op je garderobe : ) Ik denk dat de truc voor een mooie bobbel trui is dat je niet te dik garen gebruikt, omdat de bobbels extra dikte toevoegen. Als je kijkt naar deze truien kun je zien dat het aardig los gehaakt is. Dit is ter compensatie van de dikte van de bobbels. Slim of niet?

I have a feeling the bobble trend originated from the knitting world, where I first saw the bobbly projects arise.

What yarn to use for sweaters like this? I think a light yarn that’s not too thick will work wonderfully. You can find examples of this below, including the name and fiber content. I worked with all of them and they are good option for sweaters like these.

Welk garen kun je gebruiken voor truien zoals deze? Ik denk dat een licht garen die niet te dik is erg goed zal werken. Je kunt hieronder voorbeelden vinden met de naam van het garen en van welk materiaal het garen is gemaakt. Ik heb met al deze garens gewerkt, dus ik weet dat dit goede opties zijn voor truien zoals deze.
