2. ‘Guitar Hero’
Of all the things we did together as siblings (and partners), Guitar Hero was a big ‘family happening’. We would get our rock on shredding that guitar like no ones business. Marinke liked to do a lot of ‘hammerons’ and ‘pulloffs’, meaning little ladders that go up and down. She was really good at it, even rocking on expert! One of her favorites was ‘f.c.p.r.e.m.i.x.’ which she did effortlessly. I always admired her ‘natural cool’ when playing her guitar. She made it all seem so easy!
The bright colors from the center represent the colors of the buttons you hold on your guitar. The more colors you use, the harder it is to play. The grey to blue area represents ‘starpower’, which is a blue flaming power you get to double your points.
I know most of you don’t know what I’m talking about and that’s fine. It was a big part of how we spend our time together and a very fond memory. When I occasionally play now, I think about the ‘good old days’. I’m lucky to have such good memories of our time together, as a family.
Beautiful memory. Wink wrote about her love of music several times on her blog so it’s great to see that it’s a shared memory.
