There are times people could use a little something to make their life a bit better. It’s times like these I like to make them something to put that smile back on their face. In this case it was a friend of mine who I knew would go through a procedure to make her back pain go away. Because she had back problems I thought it would be a good idea to give her a pillow to support her lower back.

I didn’t do anything fancy, just plain squares in candy colors.

Since it uses so little of each fabric I didn’t had to buy anything extra. It is a perfect project for all those leftover scraps from quilts and what have you.

The back is in one piece from this cute polkadot fabric I still had from another project. Of course a ‘handmade’ label couldn’t be left out!

I wrapped the pillow with a satin ribbon and but on a tag and a card. On the back it says “everyone can use a little back support”. Looks really festive don’t you think?

I’m really glad she loved it. She uses it every day and said that she can now sit for a longer period because of the pillow. I can’t imagine a greater compliment!
